May the 4th be with you! I love Star Wars gear, and there’s so many fun items for this fandom. So many! We’ve written about a bunch of items that would make perfect Star Wars Day gifts. I’m showcasing some of my favorites.
Star Wars Day was created out of a pun shared by fans, which seems so perfect for a day that celebrates one of the most popular fandoms of all time. Everyone has a Star Wars fan on their gift list, so here are some ideas that you can get for their birthdays and other celebrations.
STAR WARS PATENT POSTERS
The science nerd in me loves these posters. Imagine a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away an inventor hunched over a desk drawing up designs for TIE Fighters and AT AT Walkers so he can get his patents. I’m not sure that’s the way it works in the time of the Jedi and the Emperor, but these sepia-toned posters give us a hint of a deeper Star Wars world. Note, these 8×10 posters do not come framed, but that means you can make them your own.
LIGHTSABRE UMBRELLA
Every Star Wars fan who lives in New York, Seattle, London and any other place where it rains a lot should have one of these. Imagine you’re walking along in a rainstorm and a Storm Trooper stops you. You’ll be prepared with your lightsabre umbrella! Okay, this isn’t really a fighting lightsabre, and even if it were, it would be difficult to battle with an umbrella on the end of your weapon. Still, walking through the rain will be a lot more fun with this over your head.
DEATH STAR WAFFLE MAKER
Waffles don’t have to be just for breakfast. Savory waffles like these from Beyond Mere Sustenance make great starters or sides, and sweet waffles like these on BRIT+CO are wonderful for dessert. Now imagine eating a waffle sundae that looks like the Death Star?! That’s Star Wars party gold. The Death Star waffle maker works like any other, with a light to tell you when to pour the batter in and when the waffles are cooked. The outside is stainless steel and inner plates are nonstick for easy cleanup.
C-3PO BOOKMARK
This bookmark could become my new favorite. Simple yet so effective, the bookmark is a plain board with C-3PO’s legs sticking out of your place in your book. The legs are 2 inches long and the bookmark is 7.5 inches by 2 inches wide. It’ll make a great reading companion for any Star Wars fan.
STORMTROOPERS ON ABBEY ROAD
I can’t say how much I LOVE this t-shirt. Darth Vader and Stormtroopers recreating The Beatles Abbey Road album cover. Brilliant! Know someone who fans over Star Wars and The Beatles? Get them this shirt! It’s a great Star Wars Day gift.
DEATH STAR TEA POT AND MUG
How cute is this?! Normally I wouldn’t consider the Death Star as cute, but as a teapot, it’s adorable. This set consists of a 12-ounce teapot that sits on a 6-ounce mug. They’re dishwasher and microwave safe and will delight any Star Wars tea drinker. There’s a similar BB-8 teapot/mug set too. Buy them together to make your gift even more special.
These are just some of my favorite Star Wars fandom gifts, but you can find our full list of Star Wars gear here. And we’re adding to it all the time.
How many of the people in your life are fans of the force, or 4th? Which of these Star Wars Day gifts will you get them?
