6 Gifts for People Who Love Kermit the Frog

Happy Leap Year! it’s February 29th which only happens once every four years (approximately – I know, there are exceptions. Anyway). Leap Year makes me think of leap frogs, and leap frogs make me think of frogs, and frogs make me think of Kermit the Frog. Ever since Kermit sang The Rainbow Connection, I have been a lifelong fan. I am of the generation that used to watch The Muppet Show, saw The Muppet Movie in theaters, and had Muppet ornaments for my Christmas tree. Go to any comic con and you are bound to run into at least five people walking around carrying Kermit puppets. Maybe you know one of these Kermit the Frog lovers? Maybe you’re thinking it’s time to but that person a gift? And if you are, have we got you covered here at Wrapped in a Ribbon. I’ve looked around and come up with some of my favorite Kermit the Frog collectibles, both young and old (and even in the middle). Maybe that Kermit fan is even you. If so, it’s the perfect time to treat yourself to a fun present.

I think I’ve mentioned it before, but it deserves to be mentioned again. There is a FUNKO POP figure for every person, every occasion, and every fandom. Kermit the Frog is no exception, and this POP figure with Jim Henson holding puppet Kermit is everything. It’s touching and classic and perfect for your Muppets and Kermit the Frog fan.

Like POP figures, there are socks for everyone and every fandom. If you have a Kermit fan or someone you are really stuck on what to get, go for socks. We all wear them (or at least most of us do). I personally love having cute socks tucked under my jeans. It’s like a fun little article of clothing that only I can see unless I take my shoes off. These Kermit socks come two to a set, are bright and bold, and are the perfect choice for that person who is maybe a little too serious and needs some fun in their life.

Books make great gifts, and I’m not just saying that because I write books. Before you Leap is a series of great life lessons as seen through the eyes of Kermit the Frog. With topics such as growing up, falling in love, and enjoying the good life, Before you Leap is a great choice for those facing a change in their life. Graduation. Children. Retirement. Get it for that person you think could benefit from the wisdom of Kermit.

I’m a huge fan of fandom art on my walls. My office has all sorts of fun prints. Your Kermit fan is going to love this print. You can buy a frame to go along with it, or hey, maybe you just include four thumbtacks for them to hang it with. Either way, this is going to be perfect and trendy, and will look amazing if just about any room in the house. Support artists and celebrate Kermit all at the same time.

It was pretty much impossible to not include this Chia pets. I still remember the Chia pet commercials from way back in the day, and I can completely imagine the little jingle playing while Kermit’s chia hair grows out in perfect style. Your Chia Pet gift grows fast, making your giftee feel like a complete green thumb, and once it grows out, it can be used over and over again. A perfect gift for kids and adults alike.

I love this artist so much, and I had to include this Yoda/Kermit mashup. Okay, maybe it’s a tad bit inappropriate, but I’m betting that someone in your life will love the parody here. This one comes on canvas, ready to hang, and is available in a couple different sizes. Great conversation piece for your Star Wars/Muppets fan.
