5 Lunchboxes for Fans of Star Trek, Doctor Who, The Beatles and More

When I was young, I used to carry a lunchbox to school. If I remember right, it was something like Holly Hobbie, and in it would be my salami and butter sandwich (I know! Who eats this?), maybe some apples or grapes, and possibly if I was lucky, a carby snack. No drink as I would buy milk from the cafeteria each day. Now most days I eat lunch at home, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t covet some of the amazing, retro, hip, and cool lunchboxes out there. I kind of want one of each, like maybe I could start a lunchbox collection, with one of each from all my favorite things. Is that a bad idea? Definitely not!

When you’re thinking about gift shopping for that special someone in your life, a lunchbox is a fun way to go. There are so many options, and seriously, whether they decide to use it to carry their own salami and butter sandwich to work or school, or if they put it on a shelf instead, it’s a cool thing to have. There are so many different lunchboxes out there to choose from, but I’ve searched around and come up with some of my favorites. The list could go on and on, but I’ve limited it to five.

Always a classic, there is no way you can go wrong with a Star Wars lunchbox. This is perfect for anyone who loved the original trilogy growing up or possibly for a lucky kid who has been introduced to the original films. Featuring the iconic image I grew up loving, Star Wars fans will adore this lunchbox. Note that there are other options available, including an Empire Strikes Back version also.

For the Doctor Who fan and the true collector, we have this Doctor Who lunchbox. A San Diego Comic Con exclusive, it comes not just with the lunchbox but with a travel mug and a set of four coasters. Your Doctor Who fan can display or use this beautiful set or proudly show it off with the rest of their exclusive merchandise. There is actually something so cool about exclusive purchases that we can’t seem to resist, making this the perfect gift for your special someone.

Oh, Mickey and Minnie, there is just something about the two of you that I absolutely love! Maybe it’s the classic patterns. Maybe it’s the nostalgia. Maybe it’s the fact that Disney is the happiest place on Earth. And if Mickey and Minnie aren’t your special someone’s thing, there are a bunch of other options to chose from including Dr. Seuss, My Little Pony, Ninja Turtles, and more. Simple. Classic. Perfect.

Possibly the best song ever, this iconic lunchbox is the most amazing conversation piece in the world. Not only does it have a yellow submarine on it, it’s shaped like an actual yellow submarine. If I had this thing, I would totally use it every chance I got, though your hard core Beatles fan may prefer to display it at their home. Design carries over to the back also, and the reviews for this one are smoking hot.

So if I could only get one lunchbox in this entire blog post, this is the one I would get. William Shatner is known for Star Trek, of course, but possibly his best known role after that was when he starred in an episode of The Twilight Zone, Nightmare at 20,000 Feet. If you’ve never seen the Shatner episode, it is classic, and you’ll want to watch it again and again. Also a con exclusive, this lunchbox comes with two small bobblehead figures, one of Captain Kirk and one of Bob Wilson (his character in Twilight Zone). Anyone who would like to buy this for me, I will forever be thankful.
