5 Gifts for People Who Love Martial Arts

I have always been a fan of martial arts. From a really young age, I wanted to sign up for Taekwondo (I never did). In my late twenties, I practiced Aikido for a while. And now? I’m a fourth degree black belt in kung fu. I absolutely love it and also love when people know this about me and gift with this is mind. I’m willing to bet that someone in your life loves martial arts, and whatever that specific martial art may be, there are all sorts of great gift ideas.

Your mind might immediately go to weapons when it comes to something cool to get a martial arts enthusiast, but weapons are normally associated with various belt levels and are pretty specific based on what katas are being learned, making them not the best choice for gifts (unless, of course, a specific weapon has been requested). For gift giving, you’re better off going with something less specific. I’ve come up with a list of five of my favorite gifts for those who love martial arts.

CYLINDER BELT DISPLAY

Many martial arts have belt levels. Reaching the next belt level is a big deal, and what better way to celebrate the achievement of passing into the next rank than a belt display? Some belt displays are made to mount on the wall, but my personal favorite is this wood base with acrylic cylinder. It reminds me of a fancy art display, doesn’t take up a lot of room, can be easily moved from place to place, and can be found in a 6 or 10 belt height. Just watch and enjoy as your martial artist fills up this beautiful and useful display, all while beaming with pride.

NINJABREAD ORNAMENTS

I am in love with these adorable ornaments featuring three ninjabread men, ready to take on any challenge that comes their way. Put them on a Christmas tree, hang them in a bedroom or office…They will look great wherever your martial arts fan decides to put them. I’m willing to bet that they’ll stay out year round, not just at Christmas. Caution: these aren’t real gingerbread cookies, so don’t try to eat them!

NINJA SOCKS

Socks have to be one of my favorite gifts to give. There are so many options out there, and no matter who you are looking for a gift for, you can almost always find a pair of socks they will love. Take, for example, these ninja socks. The colors are great, the pattern is darling, and they come in a variety of sizes and patterns, making them a smart and fun choice.

SAMURAI SWORD UMBRELLA

Your ninja is going to love receiving this amazing umbrella! The handle replicates a sword handle, making it look like a katana, and a samurai decorates the umbrella part that is visible when opened. Sure, it will keep the rain off, but it could also be used as part of a cosplay. There’s a push button for easy opening, and with 16 supports, this umbrella is solid.

YIN YANG BEANIE

Winter is coming, and your ninja’s head needs to stay warm. What better way to cover up a sweaty head after martial arts class than to don this smart looking yin yang beanie? The yin yang symbol is one of the most recognized symbols in the world and will help your ninja stay balanced and calm, while also looking super sporting. The quality and weight are great for all sorts of weather, and one size fits most, making for easy shopping.
